More about Chelsea

What I Do

I help people figure out what matters to them, and we work together to change their habits to get them closer to what matters. When habits match what matters to you, your quality of life improves.

How I Do It

I provide parent/caregiver coaching for kids, teens, and adults. I take a team approach, working with teachers, therapists, and anyone else working with my clients. I foster a collaborative approach that ensures holistic support and consistent progress. I help my clients anywhere they face challenges: home, school, and community activities.

My practice is rooted in the belief that every person deserves person-centered care built on empathy, respect, and understanding. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and get closer to what matters to them. Utilizing evidence-based strategies, I develop tailored behavior intervention plans that address each client’s needs and goals.

I grew up in Manteca, CA, and I’ve lived and worked here my whole life. I started working with autistic children in 2011, then worked at a regional center for six years before returning to school to become a behavior specialist. I have experience in special education, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) support, autism intervention, Regional Center services, ADHD, and parent coaching. I became a mom to a spicy kid in 2016 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2019.

Where I Work

I offer small group classes through Manteca Parks and Recreation. I work with a few commercial insurance companies, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) parent-led services.

I provide behavior consultation services for adult residential care homes (ARF, level 4i) and family home agencies (FHA homes), helping adults with disabilities. These consultation services are in alignment with Title 17 and Title 22 regulations.

I also work with parent-coaching clients who pay privately. Supporting children and teens who are not eligible for special education but have behavior difficulties at school is a passion of mine.

I see clients virtually and in person. Virtual services (Telehealth or Telemedicine) let me help clients when illness, travel, or distance usually means we have to cancel a session or not start services. I utilize Rethink for HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and a client portal through that platform.

Results

By collaborating closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, I have witnessed remarkable transformations throughout my career, where individuals have overcome challenges and achieved significant milestones. These experiences have reinforced my dedication to the field and my unwavering belief in the power of person-centered behavior science.
